A real digital clock. There are certainly many different designs for clock faces, but these are mostly variations on the familiar analogue or digital display. In this article I present a new mechanism for a clock face in both analogue and digital forms.
Projects at tiling.org
Maths and computer projects that I have dreamt up over the last few years.
Everything is experimental and open source.
In reverse chronological order:
A way of looking at time from a long distance. This image of Easter compresses a good deal of information into a small space, and manages to be simultaneously useful and visually appealing.
A project from A. K. Dewdney's The Armchair Universe for producing caricatures.
A Java application that allows you to experiment with tilings and tessellations through scripting. There are lots of tile shapes supplied, and it's easy to write new ones.
A Java implementation of a draggable hyperbolic display.
One of the first Java programs I ever wrote.
